  1. Dear ms. Vannessa.

Hi Miss. This is Kathryn from year six speaking. You don’t teach my class anymore unfortunately.
I’m doing quite a bit of reading, it’s Christmas day TOMORROW, and i’m hoping for a new Jacqueline Wilson book because i’ve literally ran out
of books to read! (although there is such a thing as reading them again) :)
I’m enjoying story-writing a lot, it’s what I want to do when I’m older, Ms.MRose is encouraging me as well.

Although my favourite lessons are usually the no-homework ones (P.E, Home Ec, Art, PSD, Drama)
    English is an exception.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year :D

    from.
    Kathryn M Jr6

    • Hi Kathryn,

I am so glad that you have kept up with your super reading and your writing as well!! Did you get the Jacqueline Wilson you hoped for or maybe some other books??? As a child I remember my mum “complaining” as she couldn’t keep up with all the books I read and I kept wanting new books!! (until I joined a library).

Kathryn, I wish you all the best for these exams.

      Take care
      Ms Vanessa :)

  2. hi Ms Vanessa,
I was seeing with Paul what he needs to revise for English grammar for the midyearlies. Are all the areas from the Junior English? Is the work they did in the Nelson book only to generally help in their spelling and won’t be examined as a grammar exercise?
    Thanks
    Stephanie

    • hi That’s right. English grammar is to be revised from the marked pages of the Junior English. Nothing from the Nelson book. We will also go through the different genres of creative writing that we have covered so far. Tomorrow I should be putting everything on the blog too. RegardsMs Vanessa
